We had a birth story scheduled for this awesome family for their second child, but she had to have a last minute c-section where I was not allowed in, but I was still able to capture their family after their little guy's birth. They are such a great family with adorable kiddos, and you'll get to see more of them soon for their newborn pics.

Excited aunt...

The love and excitement that accompanies the birth of a baby is just palpable, and I always feel incredibly privileged to be able to be there and capture that joy for the families.

Loving Dad and big sister...
Beautiful mama...

And last but not least, this proud grandma.

E's Birth

I love this mama, and felt so privileged when she asked me to photograph her second baby's birth.  (see her first baby's birth here)  I love shooting birth stories.  It is simply an amazing experience to be there as a new little person enters this world.  If I were to have another baby, I would definitely have a photographer there to capture those memories for me, because it's amazing how quickly they fade.  I know it's not for everyone, but I still get emotional when I look back at any of the birth stories I've done.  So here you go...

I love dad's face in both of these photos, looking on his new little daughter.

Isn't she a sweetheart?  And Mom looks way too good for just having a baby.  Thank you again for the opportunity, mama, and if you are expecting and considering birth photography, please contact me.  I'd love to talk with you about the experience.

Welcome to the World, Baby L

This little sweetie's birth was wonderful to be a part of.  Mom had many challenges before being able to get pregnant with this sweetheart, so she was an amazing blessing.  I always feel so privileged to be a part of welcome a new little person into the world.  It's such a breathtaking experience, and to be able to capture those memories for the families is a privilege I don't take lightly.  Without further ado, welcome to the world, baby L!

I love watching spouses support their laboring wives.

I think she's excited to be a big sister!

The mom's dad massaging her feet.  Such a sweet moment.

Grandparents getting their first peek at their newest grandbaby.

Isn't she a sweetheart?  Seriously, I still get emotional nearly a year later (yes, I'm that behind on posting).  Contact me if you're interested in my capturing your birth story!

Baby I's Birth Story

Meet my amazing sister.  She flew me to Louisiana for her fifth (yes, you read that correctly) child's birth.  It was such an incredible experience.  Seriously, I love birth photography.  I mean, who wouldn't want to be there for such a miraculous, amazing time?  Here's just a small sample of the photos from the event.

My favorite is the one just below.  Mom's hands reaching out, baby experiencing the world for the first time.  I love it.

There's just something about hands, you know?

Seriously, you shouldn't look this good after just giving birth.  Love their little family!

If you're interested in me capturing your child's birth, please contact me for more information.  I wish I had done this with one of my kids.  Even seeing these brings back emotions for me, and it's not even my own!
